a couple questions:
1. Whats the best snkae-friendly way to clean fake plants? She poo'd on her vine.

2. How would I go about preparing a stone to go in her RUB? One end is a bit bare and I think she'd appreciate something new to climb on.

I usually use Miltons to sterilise anything (I soak Sids hide and water dish in it before rinsing them off with clean, hot water). I also use it when cleaning out her viv.

I'm with Sta~ple! Nothing like elbow grease for getting snake poo out of anything

I would have waited for the poo to dry and try and like scrape it of and the left over bits I would have got a damp cloth on it or used hot water and let it dry on the washing line or radiator XD

neither is any of the reptile disinfectants.

Bleach would just help to kill an germs on the rocks.

I use F10 cos its cheap and as long as its dried, not harmful to reps.

Also a squirt of reptile disinfectant wouldn't go a miss.

Cascade or Beaclean are very good brands, I prefer cascade, cheaper and in a squirt bottle too.

well, the vine doesn't always wash up good if you soak it, i have one in my gecko tank and wenever i soak it the bits start to fall off so i just wipe it with a very damp cloth. as for the leaves just soak them in hot water and shake in the water.

What would the bleach do?
DannyBrown91 Posted - 28/04/2010 : 16:45:14
I would boil the stone for an hour or so atleast twice, you could maybe bleach it aswell with like 10-20% bleach.

As for the vine im not so sure. I was my plastic plants in the bath with hot water, but not sure what the vines would be like.
