Anyone else had any trouble with these? I'm annoyed at the moment. When I first bought ginger his viv came with a small sized exo terra heatmat, that didn't last too long before burning out in a spot in the middle, the petshop replaced it and the replacement heatpad worked fine but didn't keep the viv warm enough over winter so I bought a bigger one. Cleaned out Ginger today and found the new one isn't working, I can't see any reason why it should have stopped working and can't get it to work either so now I'm going to have to fork out for a new heatmat. Think I'll go with Komodo heat mat this time seem as the one in mouse's viv is komodo and i haven't had any problem with loss of heat or burn outs or not working for no reason with that one.

Don't some exo terra ones need airflow?

I have Habistat ones under 2 of my fauns and i've never had a problem wiuth those, might be worth giving them a try.

I also have another one but not too sure ont he make.

Ok upon closer inspection this one has also burned out, theres a nice big burn mark on bottom of viv and some of the substrate is burned to the top (I use shredded newspaper) I'm lucky it didn't catch fire. Deffinatly not wasting my money on that type again

i had one in my big leopard gecko tank
somebody decided to poop on it (which really shouldnt have been a problem, since there was substrate on top of it
but it burned through my reptile carpet and the bottom of the viv!
lucky my babies werent electrocuted... like i was when i got curious and touched it :P

i've had komodo ones and cobra ones, and never had problems from either
