Well, an hour or so anyway!
Spotted one adder, but wasnt quick enough to get a pic, although we did find this chap who was very chilled out!

Ohh pretty animals there... if you minus the bugs >.< although the Cinnabar Moth is pretty.

I can't believe there are so many pretty animals in Britain and the people are very lucky to get such good photos as well.

Am surprised you didnt guide Staple here BTD - http://www.thereptilian.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=759.....just a few examples of some of the amazing wildlife we have around us if we just open our eyes and look in the right places at the right times !!

Wonderful find Mike....my OH will be out adder and lizard searching soon so I am sure I will get to see the pics of whatever he comes across - he has been known to do the 'adder dance' when he came across one sunbathing on the path in front of him (luckily our son was behind him) and instead of slithering away it decided to attack his walking boot...even left some puncture marks - at least he knows to always wear walking boots! And I dont think even he would try and pick up an adder (*she says hopefully*)

We have terrapins and many lizards? And how do we have the green lizard in Britain, it's very bright colour to be living here lol

I can't believe the lizard sat in your hand either. Your very lucky.

The Terrapins will be released pets, none of them are native to the UK. And I know what you mean, the Green Lizard looks too exotic to be living here, lol

awesome find Mike! I don't know why they're called common lizards though, they're not very common! :D
