Posted - 12/03/2010 : 22:44:58 We went back to dunelm today to get some more placcy plants, they had no wood in our one, so we went nextdoor, to the 'range'. A couple of bits of fishy tank wood, a rabbit/guinea pig half tunnel thing and a wooden ladder came to just under 8 quid. Plus the plastic plants, we done well today.
In fact the range has plastic plants as well, with some very thin 6ft vines for 2.99, loads of largish trailing plastic plants for around the 5 quid mark as well, might be worth having a look in there if anyone's ever near it. |

Posted - 12/03/2010 : 09:52:31 You do have to drop on and have a good rummage to find the good ones. I've managed to find 4 that have a bit of interest in them, although there were a lot that were flat like you said. |

They should be alright, as it would be the colour thing that they would have sprayed so it would be completely dry. It's the same with everything though - if in doubt, keep it out!
I normally take the wire out altogether iff possible, but if not you can bend it too. Just as long as nothing sharp is sticking out that could harm your snake.
Thanks Kaz for the fast reply. |

Easy enough to alter though until it's safe and very cheap!
I've got some nice cheese/monster plant type ones in Jally's viv and the toad tank.
Do you know if some of the plants that say sprayed are safe i assume they have been sprayed with a colour thing could this be toxic to the snake and harm it in any kind of way ? Also how would you take the sharpness out of the dodgy wire would you need to file it down or just bend it back in the same hole ? |

Much better than paying about £12 for the same thing in a rep shop
I agree, they also have a huge range of fake plants that are cheap so it is worth spending your cash there and getting a bargin then going to a reptile shop and spending to much on a few items. |
