Just fed nismo his first meal in his new home. My first time as well! Just wondering if I should worry about him not striking or constricting the mouse, rather he just sniffed it and slowly started swallowing. No other problems though. He now seems quite happy.

Just be glad he at wildboy!! It may take time for him to feel settled enough to strike and constrict...although some snakes never constrict - my Kellog just lazily throws a coil over, more to say 'this mouse is mine, you aren't getting it'!

Give him time and once you are happy that he is feeding regularly there are a few things you can do that might encourage him to strike - like the 'pinkie dance'.

Am so glad your 1st feed went so well.

About a year old. Just happy he's feeding really. Guy in the shop told me he would normally strike and constrict. Might just be nervous

how old is nismo, my hatchling will not strike feed and has only just started constricting, so nothing to worry about.
