Some pictures to show why you should never feed your snakes when you're totally knackard, not with it and have 5 kids milling about! I made the newbie error of touching Annie in her feeding tub with Mousey smells on my hands. This happened on Monday but is totally healed up now.

I got her off eventually (2 pints of cold water over her while she was constricting my hand) and she got her chops round Micky with no problems. Oh and for anyone worried about Annie the blood in the second pic is mine not hers!

FAO KAZ were you asking for pics or corn bites??? I know the quality is poop but feel free to use it on your care sheets.

Sorry didn't mean to scare anyone - this kind of thing is really unusual and purly because i was sooooooo tired and covered in mousey smells and being a div. You'll be fine, let us all know how the first feed goes.

Blimey! Corns can draw blood ! I was told they can bite - but that's impressive! I have to feed my little corn for the first time tomorrow - now bricking it !

Mental note to self - wash hands before putting snake back in tank!

well corns don't usually bite, it's usually more of a headbut sometimes with teeth out that feels like pin pricks. This was more like getting a Tattoo, sharp feeling for a second then a kind of achey hot burning feeling. Enough to make you curse but not enough to cry.....still rather it didn't happen again!

hillzi Posted - 30/10/2009 : 12:19:54
Haha, I've had a chomper.

When I bathed Blaze for the first time, he started thrashing and struck at me, then decided to chow down..

Not good for him, i was leaning back over the bath...

'Got her chops round Mickey' LOL!!

Oh my goodness Tiz! You've been bit by a corn!

That's like seeing a flying pig or standing in some rocking horse poo

Thanks for the pictures though, you didn't have to go to that extreme just for the care sheet. You're this site's martyr - so I hail thee St.Tizzy
