No idea if I've put this in the right forum section, but I'm sure of you lovely mod people will move it for me if I haven't 
Might be jumping the gun a bit, but I'm bored and want to look at shiney things to own, and it's good to start getting an idea of stuff early on, so can people reccomend to me where I should be getting equipment and (when the day finally comes) little snakey from?

Oh, also, places to avoid, I know its not nice to bad mouth people publicly, but I think it's always best to know which places I should be walking past and ignoring.
