think my mum got ours from tescos...
ive started weighing my 3 & Aura before every other feed so i can get a general idea of how they are doing..

I try and weigh Kellog regularly cos think it is important to keep track of his weight because of his health, dont want him getting too fat and any weight loss would show health problem. I just use a shoe box with air holes in and kitchen roll on bottom. Have weighed it so know its weight. Put Kellog in it, take weight, minus box weight = Kellog's weight. xxx

You can tare it with a small box/RUB on, then put snake in box and re-weigh.

I got mine from ebay too.

Just place him in the tray, if you put him in anything else you will need to wiegh that first to get the correct wieght

I've never tried to weigh my snake but I think I might have to start. Perhaps I will go get myself some scales too.

Agree with everything said above. Use my kitchen digital scales that can be set at lbs or grams, which I think came from Argos. Then weigh box I put Kellog in so I know what to subtract when I weigh it with him inside. Know with digital scales you can put something on then reset to zero, but always worry it wont be accurate with the movement of adding Kellog. xxx

I got a good set from ebay, digital are better hiper as you will get an accurate reading. Get ones with Tare on them, saves you working the weights out
Flatpack63 Posted - 15/09/2009 : 18:10:58
Digital will give you a more accurate reading

Does it need to be a digital one ?
