Wow, Good question.
Obviously Id like my all time favorite snake - Black Headed Pythons. Would also like
Radiated Rat Snakes Northern Pine Snake Mock Viper And if space wasnt an issue a nice Normal colored Burm.
In response to Hilzi's DWA question. After watching 'I was bitten' I wouldnt consider venomous snakes. I would only want a DWAL for a Gila Monster. Would love to see some venomous snakes out in the wild though.

Have you been over to Emsworth Aquaria in Portsmouth yet? They had one in last time I was there.
I was there not long ago! Didnt see any though Gutted, Ive never even seen one in the flesh.
It was in the big viv to the left of the entrance to Bonnie and Clyde's bit.

Posted - 25/08/2009 : 22:15:32 Gettin DWA license from what i was told by a mate is quite tricky to get and it cost him a bomb.. he`s only 19 but hes got all sorts.. n personally once ya start venturing into dangerous territory it takes all the enjoyment out of owning snakes as ya time could be up at any moment with those ones. Each to their own and yes there are some real stunners but hmm nah id take room full of corns or pythons any day over anything venomous. Good luck hillzi |

Posted - 25/08/2009 : 03:06:57 kehhlyr.. please let me know what it is as i really reall really wnt a small croc!
And my ideal next snake (apart from OHs for my current collection) would have to be a GTP...
Would like to get a DWA but I wont because it just dont have th time to put into getting the experiance etc... and milks and kings are my fave so i'm not 100% bothered about it...
on a final note, i like seeing people wanting kings and milks... get one and get over to TKS! |

If DWA is being discussed too then Crocs and 'gators are a definate YESSSSS! for me.
A shop up the road from me has what is known as the 'smallest crocodilian in the world', it's looks very much like a croc, but it's only about 8 inches long.
Not the same though is it, having what is basically a beardie that looks like a croc. |

Not too bothered anyway- I've got all the ones I wanted. The rainbow boa completed my wish list and the apricot pueblan completed Lewy's list, so our next snake will be a frog |

In regards DWA, I'm with GP, In some ways I'd like to, but it's having the mass of knowledge and experience BEFORE getting a DWA, plus the snakes you'd end up getting would be more ornamental than anything else, and I just couldn't deal with not being able to handle them a lot.
I am with Kehhlyr here. No matter how beautiful they may be I would rather get something I could handle and not have a fear of...because no matter how experienced or knowledgeable you are there must be an underlying fear of being bitten. Not a snake to relax with.

Posted - 22/08/2009 : 16:59:21 Yes I would definately have to install draft excluders on my doors; make the beware of snakes signs.. whatever the requriements for a dwa before I get.
However if I settle down and start a family in the next 10-15 years then dwa's are a NO-NO.
I would like a bull snake aswell |
