Posted - 13/08/2009 : 00:38:13 If i click a "email" tab on a website i cant get it to work,it says"can not prefom this operation because the default email client is not configered properly" Any ideas and keep them simple for a simplton like me   |

I had this problem when I messed up my office outlook, one thing you can do to bypass it is instead of left clicking on the email link and outlook etc trying to go through its auto email business is to Right click the link like bellow and clicking on copy email address:

Simply paste it into an email.
Also you will notice at the bottom of the browser window the email address appears when you hover over the link, so if necessary you can type it by hand into your email client. If your typing it by hand from there you need to delete the mailto: part of the address as this is simply the html coding to make your email client e.g. outlook load. |
