And to make matters worse, a fly mustv'e got at my mouse defrosting and left me some eggs on it! had to bin the mouse.. which really annoyed me as I bought enough to last the summer holidays without trapsing on the train at £1.40 a go...

Posted - 05/08/2009 : 17:43:25 LOL......British weather. You know we're never going to get what we want its the law! I have to say I like the humid days coz the frogs and newts come out to play in the garden and its fantastic watching them.the bugs attract swallows and martins in the daytime and bats at night time, fantastic to watch. I've also had a visit from a grass snake. It had one of my small goldies but I don't mind its worth it to know its about. Warm and wet.....its the UK way........hahahaha |

Posted - 05/08/2009 : 16:20:14 I know what you mean about the humidity. I hate it . I defrost my rodents in sealable, Ziploc type, freezer bags. Stops the flies getting near them and builds up the smell nicely. 5 minutes before feeding I open the bag and hang it on the viv lock. Makes the snakes go bananas and starts a brilliant feeding response . |

Posted - 05/08/2009 : 16:06:42 I worried about the Mouse and Fly interaction during the summer so I washed out a few Tubs and I put the mice in defrost, with the lid sealed. It stops the odour from attracting the flies. As for Wasps I am allergic. |
