Posted - 04/08/2009 : 22:04:00 keep him in the faun hes in at the moment..my new snake is going in a faun and will be in it for at least 6months i guess depending on how fast he grows.. im then going to get a wooden viv probs 2 1/2 foot that he can live in for a while and then maybe have to buy a new one.. a 12x12 wouldnt really do for him when hes fully grown but might do for him as a young snake..someone else may be able to help you a lil bit more than i can |

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:54:03 my matt has a blak side, and then the other side has a white thing i can peel of..
Should i leave the white stuff on, place on table, then just slide the matt under the tank? |

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:51:03 I personaly wouldnt bother sticking it to the tub. UI would use the 4 spacers and stick them on the bottom of the tub, then put that on the mat. This will put a bit of space between the hot, unstatted mat. |

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:43:52 im assuming, i take the white thing off, stick it were i want it to go, and leave it? *the 4 stumps that i stuck on each corner* stop it touching the tank directy |

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:29:26 Get a controlling thermostat as fast as possible. You need to control the temperature inside the viv, in the summer you could be overheating your snakey.

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:29:08 It should be fine, just make sure there is a gap between the mat and the surfaces its against. You will need a thermostat. I would reccomed a habistat mat stat. You will also need a digital thermomer that you can get cheap on ebay, just search aquarium thermometer. |

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:22:50 theres your answer. dont know why they gave you such a big heatmat though |
lucifer |
Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:22:17 There should always be a hot and a cool end, I have my heat mat covering just over 1/3 of the tank. Never ever put the mat under the full length of the tank. Also I'm guessing you have a stat to control the temp of the vivarium right? |
