do corn snakes rattle there tail as we've heard a buzzing noise like a fly but theres no fly in there, and its the second time we've heard it when we feed him.

they dont actually rattle their tail, they vibrate it really really fast against the substrate/floor and that is what makes the noise. Just trying to protect themselves by adopting another animals defense mechanism...
