Posted - 28/07/2009 : 13:15:08 Taken from todays Sun; they say England is under attack from deadly beasties! (I changed the wording MYSELF)
"Chipmunks" carrying Lymne disease and rabies. one attacked a cat in Stafford, around the area. *DONT BEFRIEND THEM!
Jellyfish especially the portugese man o' war and Lions Mane, spotted and expected in the weeks to come around the Sea off cornwall. *Get out the water! put ice on the affected area for 15 mins. seek medical help
Cows (I know your'e like. WTF?) Killers cows!! they have trampled three people to death in four weeks! Including David Blunkett got a broken rib being charged in the Peak District. in Hawes, North Yorks, Sheldon in Derbys and St Fagans in Cardiff. *Let the dog go, it can outrun the cows. you can't.
Asian Tiger Mozzies. Nasty Malaria and West Nile Virus transmitters. One found in a garden in cheltnam gloucs. *Rare in britain.. for now.
Hornets. 2 inches long but not that dangerous if you are allergic. multiple stinger. 810 people hospitilazed last year with stings. *Get an expert to remove them do not swat them (This does not work as I found out the hard way) Around Churchtown, Gloucs. (Bug heaven it seems)
Great white sharks. Obviously out the water. sighted two years ago. *wear an anti shark beacon diving and surfing. poke it in the eye if bitten and you have 10 minutes before it kills you. Off the south west coast.
Big Cats. (Ooh.) a 3ft cat attacked a woman in Alness in Scotland. Panther prowling in Brighton and a 4ft cat scaled a fence and bit the head off a 7ft ostrict at a zoo farm in Somerset. *don't approach them, they will attack is cornered or feeling threatened.
Rabid Bats. Carrying rabies and David Mcrae the first victim in 100 years died in 2002. the 55 year old died from a fatal bite on the hand. carrying the EBLV-2. Vampire Bats attacked and killed 23 people in Brazil within two months in 2003. *Always seek medical help. rabies can be passed from bites and being licked.
Wild Boar Will attack if threatened. now thriving populations in Kent/East Sussex boarders. *don't block its path, have one route for it to escape.
Sleep well tonight forum members knowing theres big cats, or killer cows in your neighbour-hood. This is really interesting, get the 20p sun and have a nosey at page 28. worth reading it all. |

Posted - 28/07/2009 : 19:16:40 Its the Humans you want to be careful of! Fact.. Your more likely to be bitten, infected, injured or killed by another human than by any invert, rep, anphib, mamal.........And humans carry some pretty nasty viral and bacteria on or in them.....Avoid at all costs... |

hardly dangerous are they? Bit like wasp's hang around to pee you off. they invaded from a spawn in essex a few years ago and have now gone onto collonise Holland.

Dan; when I went deep sea fishing on the IOW a few years back, we were followed by a school of dolphins, about 10ft off the sides of the boat then they disapeared.
