So I got a new phone but its on Orange and im on o2.
Theres a shop near me that unlocks phones but their prices have gone way up and they now charge £25 to do it
Ive been googling and found various sites that claim to be able to send you the unlocking codes etc... but can I trust these sites?
Any ideas?

Cheers guys.
Its a Sony Ericsson C905.
Not insured and its 2nd hand.
I dont like Orange, been with o2 for ages so wanna stick with them really.

Im a bit cautious about doing it myself as I really, really dont wanna mess the phone up.

all depends on what kinda phone you have, some phones (nokia i think) u just need to put ur imei and sp on an online form and u get a code to type in that does it, things like the iphone, the viewty and alot of newer handsets u need to plug into pc and either run a program(downloaded off web) or tweak settings yourself(follow online guide)

unlocking your pohone is really easy

Its kinda hard to find one that'll mess your phone up. But if you like, later on after work i can get the OH to find the website he used to unlock my phone?

ye if u chose to unlock ur phone any way,
even from a shop
u lose ur warranty
just a chance u gotta take
there are sometimes ways to undo it if something goes wrong but its really a risk u gotta take,
is there any reason u cant just move ur number over to the new network?
