Posted - 03/07/2009 : 16:27:16 the night was going great until a seabass decided that at 8pm didnt like the oil and flipped it all over my arm.
so 1 hour of running it under cold water i thought it was time to go to the walk in center.... got to the walk in center and they locked the door infront of me gutted. so i jump in a taxi and go to a&e waited there 1.5hours till 11.30 then to be told there is a 4hour wait to see a doctor so they said i could go back to the walk in center in the morning.
some hours of painful sleeping pass.
get to the walk in center at 8.30 and get seen straight away then they refer me to a burns clinic thats a 45minute bus journey away.
so the burns specilist look, prod, stab, clean, photo and dress the wound.
now im here with an itchy bandage.
all that just to get friday night off lol. can only think its a bit excessive. |

Yeah, I didn't want to offend you by saying 'God, that looks nasty', but it certianly does look bloody painful! Sure you'll heal up just fine soon though, and with any luck you will get lots of sympathy and some time off work! |

Posted - 06/07/2009 : 15:42:05 Diclofenac or Ibuprofen and some cocodomol and a large brandy or whiskey should sort out the pain......burns tend to itch like buggery when they are healing (as do most wounds but not as much as burns or scalds) try not to scratch it as its a sure way to end up with an infection. And don't let snakey rub around the area as the risk of bacterial infection/cellulitis will increase greatley.....Hope you heal soon......widey |
