I gave up smoking on the 12th of may, so its been 4 weeks today since i had a cig and im very proud of myself  |

tis true kehhlyr. However.
There is a legal age to smoke without parental consent. Over the age of 14 you can smoke with consent, but under 16 a policeman will tell you to put it out in public. Obviously you're not allowed to buy products under 18. |

There is currently no legal age to smoke, but there is a legal age to BUY tobacco products.
A vast amount of people believe that it's illegal to smoke, but i've had this arguement with my niece's school, because they caught her smoking. They decided that there was no point in trying to punish her for it, because I threatened to have the teacher that confiscated her cigarettes arrested for theft.
As it stands, she's a smoker and she was before she moved in with me, but I can't really say anything about it as I smoked when I was 15.
I did try to stop her when she was 14, but at the end of the day a grotty 'I'll do whatever I want' teenager will do whatever she wants. |

i stopped for 3 months earlier this year, put on over a stone, started smoking again and lost half a stone already............ i feel like i'm damned if i do and i'm damned if i don't 
my little girl was my incentive too....... |

lol. im at college and have no incentive to give up atm. Anyway. To me theres nothing nicer that having physchology then going downstairs and having a cigg and a gripe about my crappy teacher |

no not using any patches or anything just will powerto be honest im not finding it that hard, i done it before and gave up for 2 years but went through a real bad time and started again and now its time to give up for good.
but i do have an incentive -
my missus and 3 children have said if i give up for 3 months they will buy me a snake of my choice ( and ive already chose )

Well done you 2, just refuse to give in to those lil B*%^$£DS
I gave up 8 years ago now, best thing, but I still want one :P
Keep yourself busy and if you start to think of having one, just force others thoughts into your head i.e. think about your next snake, whats its name will be etc etc distract yourself ;)
Good luck and keep up the good work and be prepared to taste food properly :D |

Are you using any patches or anything? i found the 1st day the worst but i does get better, and i feel sooooo much better. i still fancy one every now and then but it goes as quick as it comes. Good luck Mat |
