And it was me this time, not the snakes...

Had a bad fall of my horse about month ago, ended up in hospital with damaged spinal cord in my neck. Home now, but have problems walking. Couldn't use my hands for a while, but fortunately, they are almost back to normal, and I managed to change all 4 snake's water today !

So, I'm stuck at home, going stir crazy already ( sounds ungrateful, it could have been much worse ), missing being outside and my little horse ( he's at my friend's no worse for the experience

Can do very little, apart from watching the snakes, even changing water takes a massive effort. Hubby mostly feeds them, and poop picking is a joint effort At least I can watch the sneerks, though.
My youngest snakey Squidwood, seems to spend a lot of time just staring at me, and Twid has taken to sitting on his Trixie table and leaning towards the glass when I hobble pass the Viv. Spent some time with him yesterday, just talking to him and stroking him, he seemed to really enjoy it. He's used to being handled and l think he's bored!

Anyway, that's enough of moaning, if anyone has any good suggestions what to do when you can't move around ( not rude ones, of course ) that would be most welcome. I've already read my way through entire library ( or so it seems ) and fed up with TV etc...

I think I like the chocolate and cake suggestion best, though... Mmmmmm...

Origami is a good one, but for a bit later, my hands aren't THAT good yet, lol.

Tango flaps, you flatter me ....

I am stuck too due to my knackered back, i love the origami,(thankyou youtube!) the snake was made up from hundreds of triangles, i have done the regular just from a square bit of paper, i also have bit of arthritis in my hand, so cant do it all the time, i mainly do online jigsaws, so easy to do even when hand is playing up

I also eat loads of chocolate, biscuits and cake, but REALLY dont recommend you do that!
Edit.... btw, if anyone does do origami by youtube video, best thing i discovered was to slow the the video right down (its on the video settings bit) and make the video fill full screen!
And if you do anything made of triangles GLUE THEM!!! learnt that the hard way lol

Hi,

Firstly glad to her you're on the mend, sounds like a scary accident...

When I first started browsing this forum with the prospect of a baby snake on the horizon you were always one of the voices of reason full of good advice....
Maybe you could sort out the definitive stickies on everything! ;-)
As your typing muscles seem to be working!

All the best for a complete recovery.
