That would put you off. How ever it is well worth it.

Cusco and Machu Picchu are not over hyped and their Amazon is not over visited. Oh, I found a few you tube clips of a snake found next to the boat the week after we left.

Wow, school trips have changed since my day - we had day trips to Edinburgh Zoo

Some lovely photos, I'd be quite jealous but I took Peru off my travel list after my brother went and got held up at gun point in the taxi from the airport!

Welcome back to the habit

Sorry to say that I have dropped out of the habit of regularly checking. Will rectify this and I hope to add some photos soon - I went on a trip to Peru again this summer. Photos here

I've always liked this forum and I sometimes have a look on Ian's vivarium as well. But this forum is definitely a really good knowledgeable one. I do look at the FB one as well, but if I do have a question that needs answering then I always come here first to either search for it or post my question. I've been here since I got Inca almost 2 years ago and as soon as she had appeared I posted and likewise with my new little bootlace, Aztec, which I picked up yesterday.

I'm good at stomping my feet Unfortunately, I seem to have frightened everyone off Facebook too now, hopefully they are all just waiting for access here....

I have a smart phone, but it doesn't have a smart owner and I still prefer collected knowledge (forum) over the disposable quick-fix (Facebook) - guess I've just reached fuddy duddy age. TV hasn't killed books yet....not even with help from eReaders

Unfortunately a33272 is right....and you know how much I hate admitting that . Facebook is taking over . I remember a time when I clicked 'active topics' and it would take me ages to work my way through them. And no, a33272, I wasn't commenting on all of them....just 99% of them .

Well done for reminding people about it Wheels. I think that often people forget that the forum is here once they've joined the Facebook group. Let's hope we get a mass revival .

A decent forum is great, I was a little surprised at how quiet this place was when I joined, so much info on here to let the tumbleweed waft by!

I will try to spam a few threads after I finally get my Corn on Thursday, if I can choose which one to get that is :)

The knowledge that is collected here dwarfs anything that is possible on Facebook, and (no offence to others on Facebook) it is much easier to be an idiot on Facebook than in the forum

I don't go over to the dark side (apart from an occasional browse of the adverts....) I'm a one-forum kinda gal; occassionally look at Ian's Viv, of course, but not joined or posted there either (sorry eeji ).

the reason facebook groups are becoming more popular than forums is they are alot easier to access due to smart devices and apps

It IS so quiet, and I don't do facebook. I look at the Dark side, too, but it doesn't make me feel nice at all.

PLEASE COME BACK, EVERYONE

I don't have facebook either, don't want it, all i ever hear is how i should from friends, but all they complain about is falling out with everyone lol

Its got to the point on rfuk, i dont take a deep breath before i post now lol

I'm one of the guilty ones. Used to be on here a lot but find it more difficult now with my disabilities.
By the time I've done all my pets, fur to scales, I'm worn out.
I must make more effort though because this is the best corn snake forum by a long way!
Please don't shoot me down for this mods.....
The dark side is another forum (RFUK) and it's normal for a lot of disagreements and squabbles. Not a nice place really, hence the "dark side"

As a newbie to Corn Snakes and this forum, could someone clarify the reference to the "Dark Side" for me? I have seen it referred to in old posts.
