Posted - 29/08/2014 : 11:28:59 So Glover is getting bigger and i fancy more snakes so was looking at stacking viv units on swell,VivExotic Repti-Home Large 45" Three Tier, are these ok for corns? would it be to big for a royal as i fancy another corn and a royal at some point, would it be to heavy to get a cabinet underneath? anybody use these? good/bad quality? I'm assuming 3x heatmats,6x digi therms,do i need a stat for each? or is there a multi stat system i can get? do i need heat lamps? if so which is best? cheers |

Posted - 31/08/2014 : 12:50:41 i can't work out why a cabinet won't hold the weight of a 3 tier, but if you get a four tier surely the bottom tier has the same weight as the cabinet would ?? |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 16:50:25 Ahh that's a shame!!
At 70cm I would pop him in, but really it's personal preference like I said before I just made EXTRA sure there were no escape routes, and plenty of coverage so Emmy felt secure and safe!
Good luck with the new vivs put pics up when done! |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 16:45:45 my guy is already 70cm so ready for a viv then, got a reply from guy at swell saying he doesn't think the cabinets would hold the weight of 3 vivs |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 16:13:12 I put Emmy in her 4 footer when she was around.....hmmm...2 foot (I'm guessing from memory here!)She was quite slim though so I made doubly doubly sure all holes for wires etc were completely sealed up, and for the bit between the glass panels I popped some cardboard inbetween them. It's a very small gap, but I'm a bit over cautious!
Although I found these recently which I'm getting:

Just make sure there is plenty coverage as well, lots of plants/hides etc! |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 15:31:54 Ah wasn't sure if they got on as same sex pairs together and i assume boy/girl mixture is just going to produce unwanted babies,at what size is it ok to put a corn in a 4ft viv? whats the gap between glass panels? |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 15:22:27 Yeah not such an issue then, I just hit 5ft.....Oscar is bigger than me LOL.
Yeah just the one. I think in a viv so big you could have more than one, but I wouldn't want to risk fights/dominance and stress etc. |

Posted - 29/08/2014 : 13:28:49 I have 2 corns and a leopard gecko in the large three tier stack from Swell very happy with them!
You can buy a cabinet from Swell meant for these I think - slightly more depth but think it would work - I never got the cabinet as I'm a short @r$e and probably wouldn't be able to reach the top viv if I had haha. Here's a link:

Can't answer re royals sorry.
I don't use heat lamps for my corns - heat mats on stats. I use separate stats for each, however there may be some kind of multi stat system - not sure.
Someone will be along soon to answer what I couldn't i'm sure |
