Posted - 02/05/2013 : 16:37:57 It's sorted now. The snake tends to curl up directly on the mat, i think that was the problem, he kept moving the probe around |

Could you post a picture of the mat setup? I think this would help us, to help you. |

Posted - 01/05/2013 : 19:22:45 The digital thermometer should be here within a few days, bought it of amazon. I have just set it up so I think the snake is disturbed a little, he is in the other end of the tank, I will keep an eye on him though!
Thanks for the reply redware |

Posted - 01/05/2013 : 19:17:44 Don't forget that your body temp is above the temp you have the stat set to. As a result it wont feel hot to you! Do you have a digital thermometer next to the thermostat sensor? This will tell you if the stat is cutting in and out at the right temp. Or have the thermometer where the snake will be so you can monitor if the stat is doing its job.
I'm sure others will add to this but it's a couple of ideas to consider. |
