Normally I don't see him unless I get him out, but over the last few days he's just there with his head sticking out also noticed deep sliver marks in his substate. Has anyone else seen a similar change in behaviour ? And who knows why ? |

I would agree with Herriotfan Andy  . It does take some snakes longer to feel safe and confident enough in their homes to 'expose' themselves. It's good that you're seeing the slither marks, shows that he's out and about when you're not around. And it must be nice for you to see him lying there watching the world go by  .
Corns do change their behaviour and often we can't work out why. Personally I think they do it just to worry us   ! But most often it's just corns being corns  .

It could be a breeding season thing? Apollo who is normally very shy is around his age and he's been charging around his viv, knocking plants over, rubbing against the glass and looking for the ladies 
Or, as others have said, it could just be that he's settling in nicely and is feeling more confident as the breeding behaviour is normally quite intense. |

He's finding his confidence. It can take some snakes a little while.
