Posted - 06/04/2013 : 14:16:51 It's sunny, and it's really warm for the first time, too. Both horses have gone out "naked" - no rugs - after their feed, and both snakes had their first sunbathing session this year
I've taken Little T out first, and stayed in the open doorway with him, and gave him a choice, whether to sun bathe, or crawl into shade. He sat on me for good 10 mins, soaking the sun, thoroughly enjoying it. Next I took Bazilishka out, and she decided to sun bathe, too ( quite unusually for her ). It made her all mellow, she actually didn't panic, when put back in the viv, stayed nice and calm, went back in her cave, and then sat with her head on the edge, looking out ( she hasn't done this, since she was a hatchling ! )

Posted - 07/04/2013 : 16:06:56 It's still very cold here but we did have a little bit of sun. I took advantage of it by giving all my reptiles a few moments each in the sun through the window. I must admit mine seem to enjoy the warmth and never head off towards the shade. The tortoises are really looking forward to getting out in the garden, it's just not the same indoors. |
