Posted - 18/03/2013 : 17:52:33 Hi all, well I have just installed the ledberg lights into the vivarium (and am very happy with them so thanks donnie for the suggestion), just a quick question now that I have them should I keep them turned on all day (to help simulate day and night time) or should I just turn them on when I am looking into the viv? Ps. I will also be putting some kitchen/ toilet roll tubes in once I have got them to help slink be extra stealthy :D

Posted - 19/03/2013 : 18:03:47 Well I'm definitely glad that you lot pointed this out before it got to be a problem! I read through that article and I felt terrible just thinking about that happening to slink. This is another excellent reason for being part of this forum otherwise I would have just left it in there unaware of the potential risk. |

Posted - 18/03/2013 : 18:46:35 Thanks again that is really useful (and scary) I certainly won't be using any tape inside the viv again! |

Posted - 18/03/2013 : 18:46:08 I would put the lights on a timer so that there is a regular routine. If your snake is anything like mine then they would learn that lights on mean people are watching so HIDE if lights were only on when you were there.
As others have said, tape is a really bad idea in a snake viv. Even if it is well stuck down they can get an edge up and get it stuck to themselves. I have used the little screw in cable tidy thingies to make my wires sit neatly instead |

Posted - 18/03/2013 : 17:54:16 looks good, but please please please get that tape out of there. Tape can do some serious damage to snakes it isnt worth the risk |
