Trinkets are lovely. I'd like one of them myself

we looked at a trinket snake the other week, nice little green thing,

Only because you mentioned a 3ft viv. With both house snakes and hognoses the females get significantly bigger than the males, and I believe a 2ft viv is the max you would need for the males as a result. Also hognose males are known for being tricky feeders - as is ours at the moment, grrrr! He is much more interesting to watch than the corns though in that he is diurnal so is very active and often digging about during the day, whereas the corns we're lucky to see them in the evening! As a result of that I think if we were looking into getting anything else (which we're not!) I would definitely be interested to see what diurnal snakes are available out there.

hadnt thought hognose, dont know much about them, why female?
smart bunny Posted - 21/03/2013 : 19:45:18
3ft viv - rainbow would get too big... female house snake or female hognose?
andy Posted - 20/03/2013 : 22:38:57

Mort13 Posted - 20/03/2013 : 22:27:42

andy Posted - 20/03/2013 : 22:20:22
3 ft gap
Mort13 Posted - 20/03/2013 : 22:09:16
4 foot vivs can stack quite nicely on the top of a 3 foot viv
andy Posted - 20/03/2013 : 17:15:14
im looking forward to it to be honest, whatever it is needs to go in a 3ft viv, going to stack them
Mort13 Posted - 20/03/2013 : 13:25:54
Haha! That's exactly how I started. My kids wanted one, I became smitten and decided I needed one....then another one....then another..

Take your time, read up and have a good think. Who knows, you could end up with a totally different species from what your thinking of!
andy Posted - 19/03/2013 : 22:34:06
never thought, lol
smart bunny Posted - 19/03/2013 : 07:45:51
