I only use a 20" piece of dowel with my Carpet if he gets a bit over-enthusiastic at feeding time. I don't lift him with it, just use it to steer him away from my nose.

Surely this isn't for a corn? lol

haha you'll have to forgive me there as I'm still getting used to getting him out and I don't want him biting me, making me jump as I pulled some of his teeth out before. So his well being is the most important thing, however I've been trying some gloves to get him used to hands going in and also to boost my confidence too

Whats the bet the hook weighs more then the corn snake lol.

CORRECT haha!!!!!!!

Looks good, what did you make it from? (you may find you will need it if you get a carpet )

I made it from 8mm stainless steel and machined a taper & ball on it, it's only small but I could easily make a screw on extension. I'm trying not to use it if I can, but have found he's less jumpy to get out if I use it. Although he has settled down, he can still get defensive until picked up

It comes in useful for knocking the kids on the head lol. I made it because he was always going for me but he's calmed down now. And isn't better to have one and not need it, than need one and not have it ??? Lol
