Posted - 08/01/2013 : 17:23:31 Just wondering if anyone else watches Snake Bytes TV on Youtube? I've been watching it recently and I'm just currently watching a really good episode where he's updating on some of the experiments they've been doing like a Corn Snake Feeding one. They split a batch of corns into 4 groups. The 1st group got fed smaller meals than average twice a week, the 2nd got average meals once a week, the 3rd got average-medium meals once a week with vitamins added and the 4th got large meals for their size once a week. The growth differences were amazing! I'll link to the episode for anyone that wants to watch it

Posted - 13/01/2013 : 18:57:48 I love watching this a as it is so informative!
However when they do the stupid challenges and dares it gets really stupid and childish. |

Posted - 13/01/2013 : 10:49:34 I don't saw one episode and hated it. There was lots of hatchlings, either milks or kings I think and someone was just picking them up and kinda roughly putting them down and paying more attention to the damn camera than where the snakes were going. And I am defiantly not going to watch it now after hearing you guys hearing they try and wind up the snakes to get bitten. Stressing snakes for the lols, specially if you jump and pull out tooth, although maybe rare is not nice. |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 17:05:32 I have noticed of late that they seem to be toning that down a lot.
They did go through a phase where there was a lot of that sort of tomfoolery but Chewy hasn't been bitten in a long time. A few months at least.
With so many snakes in his collection there is bound to be a few that 'don't like people' and can be counted on to aggressively defend their homes. |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 13:31:42 Yeah his crew, and he actions it to be uploaded. He is endorsing their behaviour. Personally u think its great that they can offer so many snake I just wish that the snake didn't suffer from their stupidity sometimes. |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 13:24:53 Bromber: I can agree with you and Donnie there. I don't like them messing around with the snakes even though it's only for fun. Now I know Brian doesn't do that it's just his crew |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 09:29:42 I agree with Donnie on this, I watch there channel for the 1st time yesterday and was surprised how distressed some of the snakes where just to get a laugh when the assistants ( or friends ) made the snakes bite them.
Just like some of the idiots who show live feeding on youtube of rabbits and other stuff being eaten just for sport |

Posted - 10/01/2013 : 19:55:05 I used to watch it but don't any more as there are certain species he keeps I don't like his husbandry techniques with them and I don't see the point in winding up and stressing animals just to make "good" tv |

Posted - 10/01/2013 : 16:14:30 I watch it as well! The corn snake experiment was interesting i thought. But I do skip through the silly bits, I just like to see the stuff about the snakes without the biting. |

I like Brian and snake Bytes tv but I would enjoy it far more without the "lets get bitten for fun" factor. Just my opinion |

Posted - 10/01/2013 : 12:54:55 with a collection this large and his knowledge of snakes i dont think he would allow these videos to be posted if it was causing any risk to his animals which you can clearly see he loves very much! after all its his business on the line. my opinion anyway |

Posted - 10/01/2013 : 00:24:11 lol the easter bunny one was great it just makes me laugh u see brian getting bitten by all the big snakes and he just carrys on oblivious just like steve irwin used to it but chewy ud think was auditioning for an american daytime soap opera lol |

Posted - 10/01/2013 : 00:08:41 I have to admit, I did find the easter bunny one funny as he had to go into Satan's box to get some eggs... Must have taken a lot of confidence XD Apparently they don't actually try to get bitten when they are not filming but during filming they do get a bit silly and do attempt to get bitten when they can. |

Posted - 09/01/2013 : 22:10:42 Lol i do love snakebytes though ocasionally i cringe at some of the handling etc i think it was the thanksgiving episode with chewy bobbing for something or other sorry cant recall but i do recall seeing a few hatchlings falling off the table Brian always responds personally to any comments or msges (he does to most people though lol) i send which i think is pretty decent the poor guy must be absolutely inundated i watched every episode available before i got my first snake theres obviously tons more now though some stunning snakes in todays episode especially loved the kings i also love the earlier episodes where chewy does the idiots guides to genetics and always fluffs them up pmsl |

I just watch the interesting snake bits, and skip over all the silly stuff, as it gets a bit repetitive, and I don't like them deliberately provoking the snakes, so that they bite. I did chuckle at the Easter bunny one ( Chewy ), though, I must admit ( to my shame ).
Has anyone seen the experiment with feeding corn snake babbies little meals and often, or less often and big meals, and meals with vitamins - that was interesting!
My favourite is when the cal king got Chewy on the nose... |

Posted - 09/01/2013 : 19:12:59 I watch it but to be honest I have no time for his idiot staff who insist on winding the snakes up to bite them. |
