Posted - 25/10/2012 : 19:48:12 Is there anyway you can reduce the likeliness that your snake craps just where you don't want it to? Tess has never got one in her tank. So far she's scored, my bed (even after not eating for 5 weeks) my shirt, my hand (which was awful because I didn't realise and scratched my nose) and my work trousers (she can definitely distinguish between rough jeans and expensive suit trousers)
I know her getting out and about probably helps speed up here bowel movements but I was wondering if there is a way u can encourage them to go in the tank or when to leave them to it? |

Posted - 27/10/2012 : 16:18:18 Hehe ah well you live and learn ey! :D I like the bath sheet idea, might get something to cover the bed. Just seems there's no other way to predict when she'll poo unless I put her on fresh bed sheets etc. Still, she's great all the same! |

Posted - 25/10/2012 : 21:27:55 I actually encourage my snakes to empty outside their homes, if you have kitchen roll handy it makes for less cleaning :) even managed to get Sonny to poop down the loo once! |

Posted - 25/10/2012 : 20:30:20 Ah it made me gag, it was disgusting! Well she stored one up for 5 days then did a little more 4 days on from that. Probs is, she's not very active at all, only after I get her out.

Posted - 25/10/2012 : 20:14:01 Very difficult. I used to feel very smug when I first got Bazil - I'd feed her, 3 days later she'd poo, I'd handle her after and that was that, simple, never got pooed on... Until, that was, she'd learned to store some ammunition for later, to be used when ever needed. She still does it, and she's got a thing about the living room table. Leave her on it long enough, she'll poo. At least she's got a nice clean tank.... |

Posted - 25/10/2012 : 20:05:48 Sorry but i did laugh when you scratched your nose! You can leave her in viv till pooped, or when out keep kitchen roll handy, there will be a bump by vent, look for the stop, stare, tail lift, then get kithen roll under vent fast! |
