so ordered Jinx's big boy viv and every thing is fine except the glass, unlike my other viv it isn't marked with the viv exotic logo and is a tighter fit all of this dosn't bother me. my concern is that the glass dosnt have the edges rounded off and they are not sharp as such but still a concern. the glass is kitemarked so am i being paranoid? I am going to email the company it was purchased off once my email decided to start working again! just wanted your guys thoughts and opnions

Well after a lot of looking I have found a guy on the dark side who builds vivs for a living and has some great offers on at the moment so I have decided to get rid of my existing vivexotic vivs and replace them with some he will make and get some new 48 x 24 x 24 vivs that will all match.
So if anybody is going to want some vivs in the near future to match their existing ones I will be selling mine once I receive my new ones.

Oh you're kidding? I thought it was just the lx's they were stopping - they've stopped the others too? Just got a vx 48 for Corno and was assuming Ember would be in one one day... I guess not lol

Thanks Dan. They look like nice vivs. Could not find them on scales and fangs (have looked at other websites listed on nd aquatics so not a problem) but they did have some monkfield vivs and they do a 48 x 24 x 24 as well. Gives me more options to think about.

They have got it in beech, I would have liked it in oak but I don't know any more. If you google vivs or other culminations of it all that comes up are vivexotic There must be other 'big' manufactures out there with access to the web?

They need a 4 x 2 x 2 minimum and the EX48 would have been ideal (only 3" short on the height) and matched in look my lx36's that will be on the other side of the chimney breast. Going to have a hunt around the web tonight to see what is out there.

The last two lx36's I bought didn't have the same glass as my other one, it annoyed me at first but it won't bother me now as they will all be getting changed as I can't find what I need from the old range in stock anywhere I can't buy vivexotic again as they no longer do a big enough viv for my carpets so I need to do some serious looking to find a viv maker who will do what I need, look nice and be reasonably priced (me thinks this won't be easy)

ok thanks I can stop worring now :-)

Its fine some of my other vivs dont have rounded edges. I guess this is due to the fact the lx range is no discontinued so didnt bother getting the glass done the same as previously towards the end of production.
