Like the subject said, I'm looking to see if anyone has bought vivs from RSReptiles as I want to know what their service is like I have bought mice from them and they were okay for that (although I asked them a question via email afterwards and they never replied).

I want the beech coloured vivexotic lx36 as I like the colour better than the others, else I would probably buy from seapets (they don't have that colour available). I have heard that many of the vivs arrive broken from them too.

Ordered 5 from seapets for another stack, didn't want to just yet but to match existing ones I have no choice, annoying really
Moppet Posted - 06/10/2012 : 23:26:46
I might have to grab a stack of the old ones before they run out then I only need a stack of four for the top room, the other one (haha, one at the moment, depends how many more snakes I acquire in the future) can be one of the new ones. Although the price is a little cringey in comparison...

I wouldn't want to get one old one now and be unable to get another one later. They don't seem very compatible at all. It wouldn't be stable to stack either on top of the other and they look quite different from the front.

Must admit, looking at there website an the new catalogue all the old ranges are stopping to be replaced with these new ones. Shame really for people with the old ones an hoping to buy more the same in the future.

Shops online will still list the old stuff as it will still be avaible for some time until stocks run out.

By the look of it this stopper thing is screwed in so would be pretty hard to push back out.

Haha, only just though. Not a whole lot in it. I've heard that seapets sometimes have vivs broken in delivery though. I guess it's pretty normal wherever you go to get some stories like that and apparently they do replace broken bits quite reliably

Looks like seapets are cheapest then, won on the free delivery
Moppet Posted - 06/10/2012 : 19:58:29
£43.55 from seapets And free delivery.

Swell charge £3.99 for delivery which is quite good, they're a bit of a trek for me to pick it up myself

£43.54 each at swell, not sure what the postage prices are as it is local to me and I collected
Moppet Posted - 06/10/2012 : 19:48:13
Hmm. I have seen the repti-stax. They are more expensive than the l36 haha and not quite the right shape for my space I think I'm going to buy 4 of the LX36 so that if they are discontinued it doesn't matter, I will have my stack then. The only place I have found for beech colours is selling them at £49.99 each! I'm not paying £28 just for a different coloured stack, that's ridiculous. I can cope with oak instead.

Soooo, new question, where is the best place to buy them from? Seapets seems to be the cheapest so far. Does anyone know anywhere cheaper or have any experience of ordering from them that they could share with me?

Thanks for all your help

This range might do for you, just a bit shorter than the lx36

I got mine from swell reptiles so I just had a look on their website and they are listing all of the new ranges and the AX, VX and LX range but they haven't got any beech LX36 left but they do have other colours if you can make it work

Ooh, thanks Donnie. Is that the viva range? They seem a little taller and have a little less length to them than the lx36 (and more expensive). Are they discontinuing the lx range? or is this just an additional range they have introduced as well?

As far as I am aware they are to be discontinued

Vivexotic have got a new range out. I spotted the changes to their website last night its worth a look before you buy.
Moppet Posted - 06/10/2012 : 16:17:36
Thanks, but seapets don't have beech colour and apparently blue reptiles have sold out of beech Looks like I might have to get another colour.

What do you mean discontinued Okeetee Mick? Have Seapets decided to stop getting them or are vivexotic not making them any more? Both seem like pretty bad news to me
Okeetee Mick Posted - 06/10/2012 : 15:48:43
Seapets are postage free and very good on price, better be quick as these are now discontinued.

I have not ordered a viv from RSReptiles before so can't say if they good or not, but bluelizardreptiles.co.uk I have and would recamend they have the lx36 in beech for £44.99
