how in the nine hells do you do this and get a accuret readding?

I use a cheap pair of digital scales, put a tub on top and zero them then add the snake. I often do it two or three times as the scales tend to have a mind of their own and make up numbers sometimes haha. Plus I weigh my snakes after they have had their post feed poop, normally just before they have a feed, because then it is more accurate.

Bah..

You take a coat hanger and tie 2 strings to it 1 each at the 2 bottom corners..

You tie one string to a plastic samich bag, the other one you tie to the snake (using the snake knot* of course)

Then you just add rice or sand to the bag till the coathanger levels out.. bingo, you know (down to a grain of sand!) how heavy your snake is..

u prob done this but this is how i do mine put the tub u want the snake to be weight in on the skales first with the skales off then when the tub is on turn the skels on set it to grams and then put snakey in this will give u the weight of just the snake i got a cheap pair of digital skales from argos hope this helps xxx
