He did pretty good except for the last 1/4 so as it was still there when I got home from work, I decided to try some of the tips some of you lovely peeps told me to try. First I soaked him very gently in a shallow dish of luke warm water and then let him run through my hands. This didn't shift it so dampened a soft towel with warm water and again let him slide through it...took about 4 attempts but we did it Phew Now he's all tucked up in his newly cleaned viv.
One happy snake and one very relieved owner |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 22:35:21 Well done for getting it all off. Apollo's first two sheds with me were quite tricky and since then I put damp sphagnum moss under both his hides when he is due to shed. It worked for his last shed as he did it all himself. So proud haha.
Might be worth giving it a try in the future to help him out a bit |
