I feel like I've given up and I feel terrible but I've offloaded Nyoka. I was just too stressed trying to handle her more about hurting her than anything else I just don't think we were destined to be friends.
I still have Neidr who is starting to get big... He'll be one next month! I only used to be aware of his strength in his rare grumpy moments! I have never held an adult corn snake how much girth to them roughly?
I recently built a book case for my son and can't help but think what a nice viv it would make lol! The perils of snake keeping. |

Don't beat yourself up about it, Rachel. You've done what you thought was best for Nyoka and for you, so in a way, you can look at it as a win - win situation for both of you.
As you said, you still have Neidr, and if you do get another, you can get one that you'll be comfortable with. And then you can confiscate the book case ... ;-) |
