Posted - 01/08/2012 : 17:57:48 so replacement part for my viv arrived today (broken runner and wooden pannel in first delivery)...the runner was fine however the wooden pannel to fit the runner two was snapped in 2 ...so irritating i have everything ready to go in the viv just cant do it yet...have managed to fix the initial wooden pannel that broken, so tempted to put this in for now until new one arrived but thought may be to much upheavle and stress for rubi to be put into new viv and the few days later to be taken out so can replace a wooden pannel ( i assume best to leave a week before getting out after putting in new viv..just like if she a new snake?) |

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 23:41:49 I found a viv lock that fits my lx36, link to post below. The picture shows it at Tue bottom of the glass but it is now at the top as the glass slides easier with it there

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 20:48:49 it depends on what viv exotic you have, on the smallest one (LX isnt it?) most locks dont fit between the glass |

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 20:40:57 well i managed to fix the broken panel and is very strong just doesnt look very good lol. Because im not sure how long going to take for new one to arrive and dont want to miss a feed (fed her mon so been 48 hrs)thought would move her in and leave the week (by which time new panel should hvae arrived) and when feed her replace the panel so she not being moved just being taken out to feed. Do you think this will be ok? Also i have a viv exotic viv with sliding glass..i know snakes are very good escape artists is it a possibility she may be able to move the glass and get out (or am i being over paranoid?) if so whats the best way to stop her doing this. |

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 19:10:39 I think that it would be less stressful for her to wait for the new pannel rather than use a repaired one and move Rubi again. Although I bet it is really frustrating for you and I do sympathise.
I think most people do use a week settling in period when their snakes move viv, to allow them to settle in and get used to their new home. |
