Well seeing as snakes are prey for animals in the wild, I'm not convinced all pain and discomfort would be displayed by a snake. We may be completely oblivious to tolerable pain which at the end of the day is still pain.

Besides, I said possibly in pain and probably couldn't feed. Seeing as you wouldn't be able to predict whether it could live happily pain free, I find it odd to want one.

So I'll put forward my polite opinion on a public forum without being told to wind my neck in thank you very much. There was nothing condescending about what I said or how I said it.

@Staple: I understand there are snakes like this and it's great if some can live full and happy lives. It's good that there are people who take the time to care for their needs as well. I just think the idea of wanting one because you think it would be "cool" a bit wrong. It's sort of exploiting the disability which is something I think the human race has moved on from.

Nexiv, not all are in pain and suffer. I'm sure some are but not all, some snakes live long and normal lives, in captivty of course that are two headed. It's like everything thats two headed at the end of the day, cat, cow, human. Some will suffer, some will die quickly, some will live their lives in a "normal" way. May nto be so great as a pet, cool to say you have I imagine but depending on how far the heads are separated, feeding time and other problems *_* I've read about a kings whos heads used to fight and try and eat one another XD

nothing in the response treated you like a kid, was fair saying it is an odd want, I also agree. In general they generally dont last long.

You dont respond to anyone on this forum with wind ya neck in.

with conjoined critters you usually end up with a host of internal deformities... so living long is not usually on the menu..

I didnt know they would be in pain :( read they can live up to 17 years in captivity allthough have never seen any adult ones so maybe that was wrong didnt realise :(

AmazIng to have a pet that was disabled, possibly In pain, probably couldn't eat and would end up dying? Odd "want" if you ask me.
I feel really sorry for conjoined twin snakes :(
