.......a determined hatchling.

My paradox pewter has not only managed to escape from her takeaway tub, but also the 33ltr RUB the little tubs are in!

Not a happy bunny!

What is the difference between these and an exo terra breeding tub?

Thanks all, doesn't bear thinking about if I'd chucked him out!

Glad to say he is still safely inside the snake prison I built, although I do check it dozens of times a day haha.

Glad you found the naughty snakey, and now have him in high security prison !! what a relief, that 'lost snake' feeling is horrible-

my first thought on names was Papillon- you know that paul newman/ dustin hoffman film about the bloke that escapes from the french prison island on a raft made of coconuts? then explorers, i thought of Magellan- the first one to get all the way round the coast of africa, (i think)

congrats, anyway- good job he moved + rustled, before you chucked out the bag!

To save the worry of the snake man from alcatraz escaping again you could always send him to me lol. Glad you found him.
scottishbluebird Posted - 20/07/2012 : 19:27:19

Soooo happy for you, i wouldnt want to keep him, would be too paranoid he would escape again!

I use the faunariums - http://www.exo-terra.com/images/shared/products/faunarium_set.jpg and we've never had an escapee from them. We did have another type and the lid wasn't so easy to secure so Tek got out for three and a half months!

So glad you found him. I'd call him Sir Walter "Oooh what a big ship I've got" Raleigh, or Walter for short - just like in Black Adder :)
Thorne Walker Posted - 20/07/2012 : 18:21:39
Is there no way he broke into one of the other little tubs? when my corn Kitty vanished from his half of a split tank I found him under the kitchen roll in the (then) unoccupied second half of the tank...

Edit.. Yaay!!

SexyBear77 Posted - 20/07/2012 : 18:20:58
I've got it!!!

Columbus, after Christopher Columbus the explorer, and after Columbus from Zombieland, one of my favourite films- I also have a Wichita and Tallahassee from the same film.
SexyBear77 Posted - 20/07/2012 : 18:18:25
Yeah he is, little sod that he is.

All my snakes are named afte film/TV/book characters so need some sort of explorer name for him! Third time he's escaped in a week, although the first 2 times the outer tub did it's job.

Now in yet another new tub, taped and elastic banded, inside another tub, with the lid taped and weighed down- escape from that you little poop!
ScalySituation Posted - 20/07/2012 : 18:11:15
is he a keeper? gonna have to name him after an explorer :)
viraleye Posted - 20/07/2012 : 17:43:36
Thats fantastic news!!
SexyBear77 Posted - 20/07/2012 : 17:34:57
GOOD NEWS!!

I found the little ******.

I was sitting in bed feeling ever so sorry for myself having finished cleaning out the snakes. There was a bag full of old substrate by my bedroom door which I was going to take to the bin when I go out later, and I could hear crinkly plastic and snakey slithery sounds- crept over, peeled open the bag, and there he was, looking ever so shocked.

Relieved doesn't describe it!
