Just had a 5 minute staring match with Basil my new 3 month old corn snake, pretty sure he was checking me out as much as I was watching him! He had his head just poking out of his hide, looked at me for ages then came out and moved to his other hide, I hope this means he is getting used to my presence, I have only had him since monday.

He also tried to squeeze through the small hole in the coconut hide until he realised he couldn't fit, daft thing!

Sorry for the pointless post, just wanted to share

the ideas on how to block the hole in the coconut are useful - will have to make sure i remember them for when kelloggs is big enough to not fit through

If he can't even get his tip of nose through I really wouldn't be worried about it lol

Ok thanks, will try and do something about it ASAP then!

What would be best to block it up with? It is a pretty small hole, he couldn't get any more than his nose in, but don't want him to get stuck

That's sweet :) I still haven't seen mine out and about. My other half saw her one morning when he was getting up for work, but so far she's proved elusive. Had her a week and a day now.
