So as the title says i've recently bought a new viv for my corn and was looking at getting a Ceramic Heat emitter, was just wondering what I actually need to get one(thermostats, guard etc) and what wattage i'd need. I guess the electricity cost to run it will be much higher aswell?

Cheers

You will need a stat, I run mine off a pulse stat. A guard is a definite as well and a 150 watt should be fine for a 4 x 2 x 2 viv. Not looked into the cost but I would imagine as the wattage is higher on the ceramic then it would be more expensive to run but not sure if a pulse stat is more economic than an on of stat so how much more expensive I don't know.
