Hi Hi all

Thinking of switching to megazorb, the only places i can find to buy from posting is rather ridiculous, so my question is, where do you lot get yours from?

Day 2, I still like it :P
Snakes have all been fed, so the real test is in 3 - 4 days xD

Haha, its a strange statement, 'ive never sniffed an egg box' :D

But yeah is the overall opinion that its good and worth buying?
lotabob Posted - 09/06/2012 : 18:37:24
I love the smell, its a sweet smell, I've never sniffed an egg box, I'll put it on my list of things to do before I'm 30 lol. My dog has taken an interest too, I get the feeling he will be eating any that ends up on the floor.

Sniff an egg box, that's exactly what it smells like to me but a bit stronger, I love the smell of egg boxes (yes I am a werido) You do get used to the smell, I don't think it smells that much.
QueenVic Posted - 09/06/2012 : 18:04:48
Does it smell really strong?
ScalySituation Posted - 09/06/2012 : 17:49:44
i'm wondering if i'll get used to the smell...
lotabob Posted - 09/06/2012 : 17:45:31
I absolutely love it too and its finally got rid of the wood smell I thought I liked but actually didn't lol. I think it looks like gravel but its really soft, plus I just filled 3, 3X2 vivariums and haven't even used half a bag (haven't done the empty one), £10 well spent in my opinion specially as the wood was costing £35 a bag and only did the 4 vivariums once.

I think it looks kind of disgusting.
paulie78 Posted - 09/06/2012 : 16:25:51
I personally dont think im ever gonna want to use anything else ever again i love it the snakes like it (i assume they like it because they are always burrowing in it and completely subermging themselves in it which they never seemed to do on aspen) its easy to clean dust free clumps well when pooped in ticks all the boxes for me
QueenVic Posted - 09/06/2012 : 14:14:09
It looks quite good actually, I might try it seen as im going to have 4 vivs shortly.

I don't wan't to sound like an idiot, but what's megazorb?
Callazagy Posted - 09/06/2012 : 12:42:34
Looks really good, and certainly cheap enough, gunna have to give it a go when ive used all my beech chips up.

I ordered a bag too, and it came on Thursday, but typically I was out, so I got it on Friday from the post office.
My opinion, very nice stuff, all the corns have been moved onto it, and the Hog will once he's due to be cleaned out. I was a bit dubious about the looks of it, being grey and all, but it looks really nice, pats down nicely, and the corns certainly have no trouble digging in it, and it holds tunnels reasonably well! Only concern is that my batch smells a bit like on the turn yoghurt or milk, hoping thats just because it's been bagged and will air out soon enough.

Easy to hoover up, and doesn't stick to everything like aspen, very soft, and whilst it doesn't look like much in the bag, I've did a 3ft viv, 1.5ft of viv, a large faun, and 2 rubs and barely put a dent in it :)

it looks epic! cant wait till mine comes lol
lotabob Posted - 06/06/2012 : 21:25:48
Done! It was a little bit dusty going in but soon cleared/settled (the bark I was using was seriously dusty). It smells really nice too, and Spot christened it about a minute after been put on it and it just clumped together, very easy to clean out.

I think it looks like gravel.
Sta~ple Posted - 06/06/2012 : 20:07:43
Only problem I had was too dusty for my fat boy, he kept wheezing and I got a ball of mould that formed, snake had pooped on the warm end and I was greeted by what looked like cotton wool the next day lol! Although the snake was in a tiny RUB and the poo was massive!
mikerichards Posted - 06/06/2012 : 19:33:38
i have used it for a couple of years now, never had any issue with it at all. I havent had issues with it getting wet and smelling bad either, although that does depend on what was in the water at the time!
Equine stores are the place to go, if you cant find one, go to the local yard and ask where the local place is, there is a high chance that they will sell it.
