Good morning all, well its been a long time since i last posted on here, will need to look at my signature as i am sure there has been a few changes. Well hubby rolled up home 2 weeks ago with a snow corn that he had rescued, long story, so will try not to bore you all to much, but there were 2 corns in my hubbys mates, lock up, one of the mehcanic's owned these, they both escaped from the viv, the common corn was found quite quickley the snow was missing for 3 months, sadley the common died, but 2 weeks ago the snow came out from hiding and hubby went and picked it up and brought it home, we thankfully had a spare viv which we quickley set up. Casper (as he is now known) was very cold, and also hungry, he has lost some weight and you can see a dip in his back along his spine. He/she seems to have settled well into its new home, and has had 2 mice already, he/she was very hungry. he/she is about 3 ft long and very pretty, the original owner will not be getting it back!!!!!

that dip along his spine is nothing to do with his weight, or lack of- it's simply the distinction between his muscles- its like a snakey six-pack
actually a good sign that yr snake tho hungry is in remarkably good nick, considering he's had a 3 month jaunt...

congrats on retrieving him- he looks splendid

I brought some small rats yesterday, (about the size of a mouse) he had that no problems, think a few weeks of them and he will be good as new.

I'm sure that will disappear as he gets back up to weight and is re hydrated

As promised some pictures of Casper, the 2 of his body are showing the dip in his spine where he had lost weight.

Just checked on casper, he was out and about in his viv, and then i saw the shed!!!! guessed he was going to shed as when i fed him monday, his eyes were cloudy, been waiting all week. So excited only had him 2 weeks just measured the shed as i thought he was about 3ft, well what a surprise i have had he is 4ft 3inches!!! and an almost perfect shed, last 3-4 inches weren't attached to the rest of the shed, checked him over no skin left on him, he is lovely and shiney, so his 3 months on the loose hasn't done him much harm by the looks of things. Have taken some pic's but hard on ya own, so will wait till hubby comes back and get some of him them.

It's all the way down him,i thought it was where he hadn't eaten for so long, not sure how long he had been with out food before he escaped, as the previous owner didn't seem to care about them, and the other one died through neglect.

awww bless it, at least its found a nice new loving home, good luck and home casper thrives with you, wonder if the dip in the back is from where it got out or had been hiding, suppose we'll never know, just hope it doesn't affect him too much
