Looking at I new house for my 10 month male corn snake.
Deciding which it's best vivaruim or terrarium?

I have looked at vivaruims but I see a big problem, none have glass base, so how could I use a heat mat (would really like to stay using heat mats than using heat lamps).

Terrariums look better due to being glass so you can stick heat mat to base.

So what do you use/ find with using them, pros and cons

Thanks x

The viv exotic vivs that i have all come with cable holes pre made the top lifts off so u dont have to remove plugs or anything to run cables very handy lol

Yep, the mat goes inside the viv, not under it. Some vivs have pre cut cable holes, some don't.

The 3 vivs that I've got didn't have cable holes, so I made them myself!

I prefer vivs because they hold heat better that glass enclousures. I have a 4ft custom built reptile tank, and it's a sod to keep the heat in, and vivs are less breakable than glass tanks/terrariums.

And you can also drill hooks and eyes into the sides of a viv to support branches and vines.

i have a wooden one put inside with the beech chips on top, never caused any problems have my thermostat and thermometer probe on the surface and always stays between 27 and 29.
