I got a Viv second hand and gave it a wipe out with bleach and water (roughly 1 part to 100 bleach to water). The problem is 2 days later it still smells 'bleachie'. Any recommendations? :) |

Posted - 28/02/2012 : 18:46:36 I've wiped it down with just water with new sponges a few times now. I've just given it a wipe down with some lemon. |

Posted - 28/02/2012 : 17:36:43 Best to wipe down again with plain warm water using a sponge and wipe dry with kitchen roll then leave to fully dry naturally. Take the glass doors off until the bleach smell has cleared. |

Posted - 28/02/2012 : 17:28:03 lemon- is what I was going to say too- cos bleach is alkaline, you can counteract it with a mild acid, and lemon juice smells nicer than vinegar... |

Posted - 28/02/2012 : 16:19:20 Try putting a halved lemon in viv for a few hours and plenty of fresh air afterwards pretty good for most strong odours. |
