Since the hatchling rack and adult rack went on weds to their new home, along with the majority of my snakies, and my wardrobe rack is going to a new home very soon, infact, so are a couple of vivs!

I decided to see what odds and sods i had in the way of spares, clearly more than i thought, i managed to rustle up 4 50l rubs, a couple of 30 l conticos, and a couple of others!!

60 quid at B+Q and one 4 ft viv later, and the beginnings of my new rack are coming on!!!

The funny mark on the right is not your screen, or my camera, its bleached from having a light in the viv!! The sides are the top and bottom of the viv, and the bottom and top are 1 inch MDF from b+Q, the bottom is 2ft front to back, to give it a bit of stability, and weight apparently!

The rack is 4ft tall, and 3ft wide, 12 inches front to back, the shelf dividers are from some random book case we had in pieces, lost the instructions for it, so it volunteered to be a part!!

Gonna run some heat cable either along each shelf divider, or up and down the back, havent decided yet!

A bit further on.....

Thats about as far as i have got today, jiggling tubs around to get the spacing right takes more time than i thought!!

that has cost me so far, a 4ft viv, and 16 quids worth of MDF and half a box of screws!!
Gonna paint it with a pva/water mix at the very least, otherwise it will just end up a pile of dust on the floor!!!

Next up, my new hatchling rack, well, not quite a rack, but its getting there.
So simple, but so much more expensive, this is about 40 quids worth of stuff, give or take, but it works, and will cost about 9 quid to add a shelf!!

Holds 9 baby tubs per shelf! needs refining, but its simple and neat, winner!

Ha ha, yes it is, when i can, i will get two more of the vertical rack thingys, until then, it will have to do, which it does! It only flexes about half inche with a tub on it, not too bad.

Ooh,I'm liking the hatchling rack idea. May have to bear that in mind in a few years time.
