Posted - 07/09/2011 : 17:58:02 We should have an off topic section....
But anyway... just wanted to let you know that after weeks of refusing to go out and play for fear of being stung by a wasp and my reasurring her she would be fine (and admittedly resorting to actually throwing her out in the garden to get over her fear ).... My eldest daughter was stung today....
On the bum *insert laughing smiley here*
Apparently a wasp crawled up her skirt in the dinner hall at school and she sat down to have her lunch and BAM. Sore bum.
...waits for the bum jokes....

Posted - 09/09/2011 : 16:01:42 she is fine now. She has a slight pink ***** style rash around where she was stung. Dunno if its an allergy to the sting or the spray hubby bought from the chemist that day. |

Posted - 09/09/2011 : 14:44:58 i can TOTALLY sympathize with her! i accidently sat on a dead wasp about 10 years ago and it still stung my bum! damn sore it was too!! |

Posted - 09/09/2011 : 14:10:45 Hope she is not too sore, poor thing.
My DD was pretty much phobic about them at one point we had lots of refusing to go out to play and when we did go anywhere lots of hysterical reactions to flys, bits of hair blowing onto her face etc. In the end I took her to the drs and got her refered for some CBT type he. While she still doesn't like them we can go out now without her being in a state of panic all day. |

Posted - 08/09/2011 : 23:50:35 Awww your poor daughter. I can understand her fears. My son would run into a road to avoid a bee or a wasp and I have to be very vigilante while we are out and about. I hope she feels better soon |

Posted - 07/09/2011 : 20:32:04 Poor wee thing, I would be decidedly unchuffed as well if someone plunked their bum on me.
Joking aside, I got a wasp sting in the arm a few years ago and it was b••••y painful. I take a bad histamine reaction to insect bites and stings and it actually left a small white scar.
Hope you kissed it better, Mamma. lol! |
