jeff went blue just around the 18th of august and cleared up around the 31st ish. i know its usually a few days after they tend to shed but he has not shed yet. just wondering whats the longest anyone's snakes have take to shed after clearing up?
since he went blue i have had a damp cloth ontop of his hide to raise the humidity

i have had a damp cloth over the hide since he went blue and the last few days the cloth has been in the bottom of a big cardboard tube he has as a hide. i picked him up earlier and as he moved or i held another part of him it all sounded crackley like paper being screwed up and some of the shed fell off, was all, loose and cracking.
gave him a bath and had him running through a damp towel about 85% of the shed came off ok but all in very small bits, just abit left on and behind his head. have left him now to see if he will scratch the last bit himself.
have also noticed the last day or 2 one side of his jaw is not closed fully he can close it but seems not to most of the time and now and then he sounds like he is spitting. what ive read this could be the sign of an RI and mouth rot. hope its not but will get him booked into the vets asap

Kellogs gets an ice cream tub (hole cut in side for door) with damp sphagnum moss, i prefer to be safe than sorry when he is in blue and he is always in it, gets taken out when he has shed

its been over a week since jeff cleared up. i can see the skin is loose all over apart from his head on a few bit especially under his tail between the vent and tail tip the scales from the loose skin have gone dry and cracked, witch is concerning me slightly or is this normal?. is there anything i can do to get him shedding? damp pillow case, warm bath and damp towel etc?
he is still active as usual and ive put a load of bog roll tubes in there so theres plenty to scratch himself on

I tend to find that if i schedule mines feeds to about three days into clear, then she sheds a few minutes after eating :)

good to know they can take a lot longer than a few days.
i did offer a rat yesterday to see if that would lossen it up if he ate but was not interested
