My bloodred stripe cost me £100 & he's only a hatchling, i was looking for one for about 4 months so nearly bit the breeders hand off for him.
If you got the money to spend & you really really want one,go for it
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 23:13:05
i think there are a few differences between the hatchlings cant tell from the adults cos there aint any pics of the diffused adults i can see
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 23:02:28
thanks for that i can see the big difference between the diffused and the blood stripe hatchlings and i know what a normal stripe looks like as i have one already
Mort13 Posted - 02/09/2011 : 22:51:51
Theres not a hell of a lot of difference between diffused stripe and bloodred stripe from what I can see, probably because they are both the same. The only difference being bloodred has been line bred to produce a more intense even colour. Although spotting the difference in a stripe may prove more difficult.
If you're worried you may end up with a striped normal though, there is a big difference.

lol good question, bloodred is selectively bred diffused corns if I remember right? but seems a lot of ppl use bloodred to describe normal diffused, I have seen things that are het for bloodred but I wouldn't of thought that was possible?
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 20:33:08
How can i tell if it's diffused or not as i'm all new to this talk you may as well be speaking chinese saying something like that to me lol
scottishbluebird Posted - 02/09/2011 : 19:24:12
I think if you would be happy with him, go for it
oakleyman18 Posted - 02/09/2011 : 18:56:36
You gotta decide if it's actually a bloodred or just a diffused.. That would have a big difference. A diffused stripe that's definitely too much, but for a BLOODRED stripe with those hets, I think it's not that ridiculous..
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 18:18:35
yep hopefully by the end ov next week if not before really can't wait now well chuffed.
Mort13 Posted - 02/09/2011 : 17:58:04
Ooh excellent. All thats required is for you to get him/her then!
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 17:51:25
i have actually been told by the bloke he won't be charging me £100 for it that was just a guide price he said i will get it cheaper so i'm happy with that, thanks everyone for the advice
Mort13 Posted - 02/09/2011 : 17:40:30
The previous owner of the Bloodred Stripe I have paid £100 for him as a hatchie last year.
DTW Posted - 02/09/2011 : 16:41:00
Haha don't thank me yet that might be bad advice, I'm just guessing if u did find them cheaper it wouldn't be by much and it wouldn't bother me as long as I was happy with the little guy :)
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 15:59:31
yea i do really want one and have for a long time maybe i should just go out and get him or i probably will be really gutted, thanks for that DTW :)
DTW Posted - 02/09/2011 : 15:54:32
Stripes are always exspensive, I really want a butter stripe but only ones I've seen are around £150 so will be waiting a while lol.

I don't know about bloodred but I would pay that if I liked it, not easy to find and missing out for the sake of MAYBE saving a few quid on something that will be with u for such a long time doesn't make much sense to me lol
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 15:01:18
i really don't know what to do now really confused.
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 14:36:38
so you think that it's not worth buying for that price then
gingerpony Posted - 02/09/2011 : 13:59:48
does seem quite a lot for a hatchie but there's not too many blood stripes around........
shaunb Posted - 02/09/2011 : 13:23:28
no i haven't, u see the bloke here did have a normal bloodred for sale not the stripe for £35 but for some reason the striped one is £100
