just wanted to say I hope you are all safe tonight and the riots stay away from you.. I'm in West Ealing and from what I've read on twitter (oh how reliable!) there are small riots breaking out over here now.. fingers crossed they realise there is nothing but poundland and plenty of chicken'n'chips shops over here!!

I've got my doors locked and Zero is ready to bite anyone who comes near my house..

stay safe although if someone offers you a new 50inch+ lcd hd tv thingy then please take it and I'll have it off you

Bit suspicious how you get a 55inch tv when a Sony shop was burned?? but I'm sure you would have nothing to do with that
reptiledanny Posted - 10/08/2011 : 10:49:53
well it was manchester and salford yesterday, salford breaking into bloudy bargain boozes (not that im suprised) and manchester burning down primark, miss selfradges and mcdonalds, and then the worst of it, they burned down nandos
was meant to be bloody going into manchester today with a few mates, cant see that happening any more, and now apparently there p,anning to come to bury and destroy the whole shopping area (if its not already been done), just have my fingers crossed they dont come to morrisons
on the good note, iv now got a nice 55inch tv in my room

This has nothing to do with boredom this is just disgusting criminal behaviour!
If it was because of social unrest why target a Sony distribution centre?
Pull out all the reporters and put a blanket ban on news reports and put the troops in with a free hand,I gaurantee by this time tomorrow it will be over!

Ugh... now Salford... but I can see Ian waiting in his house with a Machete just waiting...

Stay safe everyone, thoughts going out to those affected by this xxxx

All I can do is echo what has already been said. Best wishes to everyone and stay safe. Hoping that things will calm down and these 'people' will realise they are wrecking the lives and property of innocents.

I live about 15 mins from birminghaŁ town centre , safe to say I'm not going anywhere near . However where I work in kingswinford there are riots breaking out in the surrounding towns and they are supposedly passing through our way . We have been put on high alert to precautions :(
JackHutchy979 Posted - 09/08/2011 : 14:50:35
Really get rubber bullets in and use machine guns equipped for the rubber bullets that will get a few of them the water canons would be good. The country has gone belly up with riots and laying of workers due to the economic situation. But you would think the head finance worker for England/Scotland/Ireland/wherever would realise sooner Something is going wrong. But naw they have to get 2.something trillion dollars in debt before they realise "Something isnt right maybe we should step-in now" I say sack te head of finance or whatever a standard accountant could do a better job.

Human rights is stupid really some rights are idiotic. We would all do a better job. When the corn snake comes into power then the country will get back to normal. :D

They say the army are too over prepared for this and wont think twice about killing. The army have been fighting for their lives for 10yrs. I'm all for bringing them in (my dad was in the army, im an army brat), but afraid of the damage they may cause. Plus we'll be doing the same thing that happening in Libya, which is what we are fighting against around the world.
Lixra Posted - 09/08/2011 : 13:19:46
I don't understand why the army hasn't been brought in yet. When fires set to building are left unchecked because the police CAN'T protect the firefighters, that should've been a big clue.

And to think I was nervous about stuff going on outside my apartment when the Red Sox finally won the World Series after 80 odd years... I can't imagine what you all are going through if you live in an area this is happening in! I shall loan out Darwin for protection purposes

A children hospital that's horrible... And someone has been killed due to the riots. Great, well done guys. Even more cutbacks now to rebuild the places that have been burnt down.
HannahB Posted - 09/08/2011 : 12:58:24
we survived the night.. well my nails haven't but luke and mel made it home this morning, they got locked in a hotel and because of lukes security work they gave them a room after he helped with their cctv systems, although tbh they still charged full price which is rediculous!!

west ealing has half survived.. ealing broadway was hit and although the main road is not too bad - just one shop hit, the area up near the train station is a no go zone and another area down towards ealing green was hit pretty badly - lots of fire engines and police down there..police are walking round every where and a lot of those guys in white doing their little investigations..
I've stocked up on milk and tinned things though so that if it kicks off again I don't have to go out..but hopefully it won't get that bad!! **fingers crossed**

can't believe they tried to attack the children's hospital in Birmingham.. I'm lost for words..
west5680 Posted - 09/08/2011 : 11:21:31
funny how for the past year they have been cutting police numbers, now "we need more police" oh really...you think.
Sta~ple Posted - 09/08/2011 : 11:06:13
Nah, shoot to kill.
Simmy_82 Posted - 09/08/2011 : 10:53:54
Their rites should go out the window as soon as they start breaking laws! Water canoons, rubber bullets all need using.
JackHutchy979 Posted - 09/08/2011 : 10:46:53
Stay safe... It's just the police can't do a lot without breaching human rights they can't use the water canons or nothing. Lotabob I'm surprised theirs no rioting in Belfast I live in N.I. And Belfast is normally quite good at it.
