Been looking online to find some good and interesting snake documentaries... sometimes it is hard to find decent ones (most of the vids on you tube are poop) esp for those who wanna read up/watch/learn more about snakes.

Would it be possible to start a snake documentary thread at all?

For example I am currently watching this one:

http://documentarystorm.com/one-million-snake-bites/

"From the giant King Cobra to the tiny sawscaled viper, India is home to many of the world’s deadliest snakes. Now a new report has revealed that India is in the middle of a snakebite epidemic of epic proportions, with a loss of human life far in excess of any official figures.

Armed with more than forty years of field experience, snake expert Romulus Whitaker and his team set out on a journey around India to investigate the natural history behind these chilling new statistics and to see what can be done to help India’s people and ultimately, its snakes."

What do you guys think? xxxxxxxx

I'm not even going to attempt to watch the video's linked,my rubbish internet won't cope with it.
Life In Cold Blood....that was a brill series. Think that was the series that lead to me being accused of having a man downstairs by my son.. It was David Attenborough narrating!!

If you dont have Nat Geo channel, go to their website. They quite often update it with little videos. Might be something on there?

that was good, few funny bits, that king cobra did not want pic taken! had a giggle at the scorpion. all the snakes were beautiful except that saw scale, that was just creepy
the python hunters is ok, they catch non native critters like burms, iguanans

There are a couple of snake programmes on at weekends on National Geographic. Sadly I don't get that channel in my Virgin package so can't comment on quality. I did see half of one round a friend's house a couple of weeks ago which seemed quite interesting, but I wasn't fully concentrating on it. One of the shows is called Python Hunters or something, which sounds all a bit dramatic really...
