Posted - 28/07/2011 : 22:32:15 you just need to know where to shop in Yorkshire.......get to know the shop staff....... i still occasionally buy from 2 specific shops rather than just from breeders |

Rep shop down here is selling an amel at £49 and a normal for £49. The normal is gorgeous but not paying that for it.....the 2 yr old caramel for £69...and i cant remember what the blood red was marked up at.
It is rediculous |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 18:33:02 They were selling an Aztec in a store up here for £89. I bought Romeo (my 1st snake) from them for a silly price but I fell in love with him and didnt question the price. Had I looked into breeders then undoubtedly I would have gotten him alot cheaper. I dont regret buying him though Hes absolutely beautiful. xx |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 18:18:17 if you like it and he'll come down on price a bit then buy it cos it's sods law if you turn it down then decide you want one you'll not be able to find one lol they're not super-rare generally, though very good examples are - a bit like trying to find a 'good' miami, there's 100s of rubbish wild-type examples out there! |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 16:29:12 it depends on how much aztek patterning the corn has and what morph the snake is with the aztek pattern. azteks are very nice, but just a visual pattern, and i dont know if they are genetic or not. i have seen corns for sale that have a slight aztek pattern, so the price is the same, and some corns with a full aztek pattern down there body, so the price rises. its what you want to pay for them, if you think 50 quid is worth it, and you love the snake, then get it, but if you cannot justify spending that on the snake, then dont |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 16:06:20 During my hunt for corns around suffolk, I generally found that normal/single trait corn hatchlings were just £15 - and incrementally rose as the number of traits did - obviously just my findings though. |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 16:00:39 Well its less than you would pay in alot of pet shops for a normal corn. I guess really it depends how much you want that particular snake. I have been to several shops and never seen one for sale and I have not seen many at breeders either. So maybe £50 is a fare price? |

Posted - 28/07/2011 : 11:01:42 My understanding of the Aztec pattern is that it is a selectively bred pattern variation, rather than the morph (Aztecs can come in different morphs) - i guess i would recommend that you find out what morph it is before committing to it. However, there is no denying that the Aztec pattern is a lovely sight and that is comes from selective breeding which would bump the price up a bit on its' own. |
