As many of you know Chii passed away yesterday, and as she was my first and only snake, i was very close to giving up the whole idea of snakes.

however my partner said that i houldn't because he saw how happy chii made me, and didnt think i should give up on everything.

so he called a reptile shop/breeder for me yesterday evening and reserved a 6-8month old Snow Corn, to pick up today. round £60 - £80 2010 hatchie

he said, that he knows it's all very soon, but he wants to help me carry on, and get back into snakes because he saw how happy i was when chii was with us.

couldn't get through any of it without him :)

so yes a new post of pictures may be up tonight of the little one, but i think the first few feeds im going to be so scared that the same thing is going to happen, i guess it's a deep breath and brave the storm :)

well just got the new one home, a lovely 11 month old corn, his birthday is next year, he is a snow morph,
when i picked him up to handle him, he stared straight at me for a good few moments, came right up to my face, so the breeder decided that he had chosen me.

He will be chiis older brother, and his name is Sachi, which means Happiness in Japenese, which will suit him well :) got all his feeding charts and he has never refused a feed, so even less to worry about.

thankyou everybody for your kind words, will keep you all updated xx

Aww bless him,so nice to hear you have such a supportive encouraging partner.
Good luck with your new snow. I'm sure you'll be fine. As he/she's older he/she's obviously feeing and thriving so try not to worry too much, easier said than done I know.

never had to witness a regurge, must be horrible :( yea i think nake keeping is definatly going to be a consistant hobby, i think today will definatly help me get back into it. my partner did say along the lines that he doesnt want a dog or ct, but he didnt mind a number of snakes, as long as we didnt have a full housefull!, however along the years that may be the case. but hopfully today will definatly help me.

yea chii will always be loved, we came up with the idea that the new little one i get today can be her borther/sister

hey im sorry about ur little one , dont let it put u off . our first corn snake had some issues with constant regurges , the day we picked him up he had had a feed but regurged (at the time we thought it was poop as we hadnt seen snake poo) however he regurged a few times with us and we had done everything rite by the book , followed everyones advice , it almost put us off keeping snakes , however the lady offered us another one and we now have more snakes and love them to bits . snake keeping is a fab hobby , enjoy ur new little one and think how much chii was loved xx
